This was a very inexpensive fixture that we used for a closet where space was limited. I wouldn't use it as a general light in an open space just because it sits so flat against the ceiling and looks weird in my opinion. In our closet it was the perfect solution and we are happy with it. It's very bright. Also, it was very easy to install, just make sure the mounting bracket is with the "legs" pointing slightly down and not installing flush with the ceiling (upside down). If you flip it, you can't lock the light, which is what I experienced initially. I just reinstalled the mount and then I had no problems. Overall good light for small spaces like a closet.
