Will not work with more than 3 USB 3.0 devices - don't waste your time or money

So I bought two of these devices to install in two different systems. Last month I spent hours of my life troubleshooting why some USB hard drives were not showing up or working. I even called Seagate about one that didn't show up on either of those cards, but to my surprise it worked fine on my office computer. Today I finally gave up trying to make a fourth hard drive appear on every computer. The controller hung on one disk and the computer did not read any of the disks. On another computer I saw the 4th hard drive, but then I realized that the other two hard drives just disappeared. I finally got fed up, I blamed many of the problems on external Seagate units and got Western digital units instead, but they have the same problems so it must be something with the card. Get money and 2 ports. One of mine was in the return window so I'm sending it back and trying two other brands. I'm very curious to see if either of the other two brands will work. Unfortunately, the other card is just outside the return window. Although it still works with 2 or 3 drives I consider it a waste as I bought this brand thinking it would be more stable as it costs almost twice as much as the others. It also had the most reviews. I guess people don't use all 4 ports or something. ***Update*** So today I tested two other brands of 4-port USB cards. One of them works fine (LTERIVER), the other one won't load on my computer (ELUTENG). By perfection I mean that all 4 ports are connected to a combination of Seagate and Western Digital external hard drives. This usually causes a drive to disappear along with FebSmart. Yesterday I noticed that on a FebSmart with 3 drives connected, the data transfer to one drive kept disappearing and the disk management did not open. So the ability to connect 4 hard drives to LTERIVER was perfect for me. The best part is that I transferred data to two drives overnight and not a single error occurred. At some point, FebSmart stops transferring data and the entire computer freezes. I kept blaming USB drives and after a month of this nonsense I'm really pissed that stupid FebSmart cards have been around the whole time. Both on two different computers were throwing all these weird random errors and I blamed the Seagate hard drives when they were the controller. BTW, both LTERIVER and ELUTENG have tried to show VLI on the tiny USB chip on board, but when I look into the device manager on my computer, it shows the VIA USB 3.0 controller, so I must have misread it. I don't know why ELUTENG didn't release it, but LTERIVER released right away and works great.
