At 59 years old and having worked in the automotive and marine industries my entire life, I have amassed about 4 double garages of tools. I once had a snap-on plasma cutter that I paid about $3,000 for. Died after about 10 years of heavy use. Over the last few years I have done a lot of metalworking in my workshop at home. A few years ago I needed a plasma cutter but I couldn't afford $3,000 for one so I started looking for one. I've checked all the major brands at our local welding consumables stores. God they had some really good, Miller, Lincoln, Hobart, ESAB, nice BIG and HEAVY convertibles. The problem was that their price matched their weight. One day while surfing the internet and getting nothing, I decided to check out Revain just mostly for laughs! I spent another 3 or 4 months testing various light offshore machines and really became interested in the Lotos, especially the LTPDC2000D. This is a plasma cutter, TIG machine and stick. I advise everyone to forget about 110 volts. Switch to 220 volts, you'll be much happier and save yourself a headache. I have owned this item since May 2017 and have no complaints. I put it through the bell and it was great. I mostly used a plasma cutter. However I recently needed a welder so I connected the wires and the welder works great up to 200 amps! I even welded some 6010's and got a good seam. I mainly use my MIG welders. I have not yet used the TIG function. As I said, I bought it mainly because of the plasma function. I keep my car clean and my tips clean and rarely have to change them. If this thing dies tomorrow, I won't complain. I've been trying to wear this thing down and it just won't die. It's very light and I thought it was a joke when it came out. This machine, like many modern machines, is an inverter machine, hence the light weight. Inverter technology has come a long way. If you are looking for a plasma cutter, I recommend this one. IF IT GETS MY SEAL OF QUALITY, IT MUST BE GOOD! If you are new to plasma cutters, take your time and learn. I was not paid to advertise or receive any merchandise in exchange for this review! I waited almost 2 years before posting a review.
