Review on TEKTON 5866: High-Performance 12 Inch Oil Filter Pliers for Easy Maintenance by Antoine Dean

Works perfectly! 2004 Toyota Sequoia 4.7L

I see a review where the guy is the wrong size. Think a little ahead if you're too stingy to measure the diameter of your filter, or the filter is such that you can't access it for such a purpose, as in my case (it's always wise to have a spare to have hands). ) because it sits too far in the engine bay and is not accessible from below (like in my case on an SUV with a skid plate). hard to guess. The 2004 Sequoia 4.7L has an almost weird little filter, so I used a 12" oil filter wrench and it worked great. These filters are far away in the engine bay so this wrench gave me a way to reach the filter. .A large wrench certainly fits large trucks and diesels, my SUV needs a smaller wrench, the standard sized oil wrench was clearly too large in diameter to grip and would definitely be awkward to reach that far, use him effectively. This is a great addition to my oil change tools as even the type of end cap designed for use with a ratchet would have worked but I certainly would have had to be upside down to use it.

Pros
  • Hand Tool
Cons
  • Crumpled
