We use 5 gallon bottles of Culligan water with shipping and I tried this Ispring filter in the faint hope of saving money on water. doesn't work at all for me for the following reasons: the thread adapter was missing so I couldn't attach it. I went to Laws and found a male to male adapter. It costs almost $8 with taxes. I then installed this filter and found that the diverter valve attached to the faucet is quite long and reduces the usable depth of the sink. Drops continue to flow from the filter outlet. The actual filter housing must be next to the sink. My sink has a jagged outer edge, so I couldn't get it as close as I'd like: the plastic tube is stiff and just floats in the air. It looks awful and disturbing. This is a big no-go: I let the water run out of the filter for a good minute before tasting the water. I noticed the chlorine taste was gone but the water had a sweet taste which I found very disgusting. The million dollar question? If I had to choose between chlorine-flavored tap water and that sweet, disgusting filtered water. Which one would I choose? Well, I'm pretty stuck, aren't I? Both are terrible. This is definitely a problem.
