Review on Chefn 102 795 406 Slicester Watermelon One by Max Stallworth

Stick with old wire-cut cheese.

This is not the best mousetrap. I was drawn to one of those articles about gadgets you didn't even know you could live without. The description sounded good and the wire on my old cheese knife broke. I found that the flexibility of the plastic made it difficult to make thin and even slices. I didn't manage to get the width sensor to work and the cheese needs to be cut on a perfectly flat surface. That's not always possible when I'm serving guests a tray of cheese. Pre-slicing the cheese in advance is tedious and wasteful. Often, after slicing a few slices, I had to come back with a knife to keep the slices even and presentable. Although this gadget is cute and actually works after some trial and error, I cannot recommend this product. As the title suggests, stick with old-fashioned wire cutters.
