Review on πŸ’¦ Enhance Water Pressure Regulation with ISpring APR40 Pressure Regulator Protection by Jason Vigil

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Adjust the pressure and prevent ice maker valves from being ruined by excessive water pressure in the house.

Ordered on Saturday, arrived on Sunday! I bought this pressure regulator for my fridge, ice maker/water dispenser. I've never used snap and lock connectors before. I was a little worried about their ability to seal properly, I called a friend who does home renovations and he said he loves them. Well I cut my plastic lines with a razor and inserted them into the regulator and the seal became watertight. Very easy to install, took less than 5 minutes to be honest. Well the reason I put this regulator in the first place is because my ice maker/water dispenser valve assembly cracked or broke to the point where water was leaking out of the valve out the back of the fridge. I decided to check the water pressure in my house because these ice maker valves are made of lightweight plastic and prefer about 45-60 psi water pressure. Check the manufacturer's recommended pressure. I found that the water pressure in my house was about 120psi. This is what broke my icemaker valve assembly. It is recommended that household water pressure does not exceed 75psi Max! I had high pressure in the house to have a better shower, but over the years the Watt water pressure regulator decided to fail and let full street or line pressure into my home network. With pressures this high, it's no wonder I've replaced the ice machine's valve assembly twice in the last few years. This built in regulator keeps my fridge line pressure at the ideal 45psi. Worth the money now I have a complete fridge system. I highly recommend using it to protect your ice machine system and be sure to check your home's water pressure at a faucet or an outdoor faucet so you know if your home's water pressure is properly regulated before you do blow out the water pipes and the water. heaters!
