I was looking for a tire to replace the original tires on my Trek Crossrip electric bike. I have driven 2800 miles with these original tires and had four flats in that time. The tires weren't worn out, but I was just fed up with fixing flat tires. I got the City/Trekking Protector because I ride mostly on paved roads. As soon as I took the tires out of the boxes, I noticed that they were thicker in the tread area than the original Bontrager tires I was replacing. They were more difficult to mount on the rim because they weren't as flexible as the old tires. However, I was looking for durability, not flexibility. I have now driven about 350 miles on these tires with no problems. They are quiet and seem to have less rolling resistance than my old tires. Only time will tell if these tires are as puncture resistant as I expect them to be. However, I would not change anything about this purchase at this point. UPDATE JULY 27, 2020: I have now driven 1200 miles on these tires without a single puncture. They wear very well but if they wear out I would buy them again.
