I bought these blocks for a birthday present which also included Crayola watercolors. Kids and parents love the idea! I saved some notebooks for my kids and I have to say the paper isn't bad at all for "study paper". I don't know what the other underscorers thought about the quality. It's $2 and 50 grand! If a child dips the brush in water just to get a drop, just to wet the paint, the paper will absorb the paint completely, but if they go crazy with the water, the paper will fall apart. This is a great solution for those who draw a lot. However, if you're trying to get that one masterpiece that you want to frame and keep forever, it might be worth investing in better quality paper.
