You lied! fits steering system

I was told this power steering pressure hose would fit my Chevy 98 PU. So I bought it and started repairing GUR. But when it comes time to put up a new house, it doesn't fit! But you cannot reattach the old hose without using the new O-rings that come with the new line. Now I don't know if I can return the line?
