Although a #10 cable is sufficient to carry 30A, this plug accepts up to a #6 gauge cable (50A) when that cable weight is required to reduce voltage spikes on long runs. Once this connector is removed (requires a thin Phillips screwdriver), all electrical connections are easily accessible. The live blades of this connector are designed to provide a good connection to both solid and stranded conductors up to size #6. For use as a replacement plug or as part of a homemade cable, this cable comes with connection instructions.
