I work as a forest gardener and am always on the lookout for biomass and thought these compostable trays would make great compost for my lanes like I do with cardboard and coffee filters. But I have a problem with them. We give our dogs our plates and bowls to lick after we're done. This is the highlight of their day and they really cut down on the amount of treats they ask for. When I gave them these plates after dinner, my Chivini ate the plate. It wasn't that he was just trying to get all the juice out of dinner; as if he really enjoyed eating the bowl himself. I wonder if it will harm him? I don't care if he eats it as long as it doesn't hurt him. The shells will soften a little when they get wet, which is good for compostability. I hope they break bingo in the stomach and don't hold it up. If you know or have had such experiences, please write.
