This Fram oil filter was purchased for a 2001 Kia Sportage, this is my 3rd oil change I'm doing for this particular vehicle. myself. The problem I had when I first started changing the oil myself was that the cheap replacement parts, the filters that went on this car at the oil change point, were jammed and required some effort to get them closed remove. These frame filters are removed by hand after three months of trouble-free parking on the car. Makes switching easier and less headache.
