Try something different.
The base of this stand is too narrow and the beaded tires don't fit well with the wheel holders either. They get stuck when crossing slightly, and that makes it difficult to maneuver the rear wheel out of the stand while still trying to avoid tangling the front of the bike. I got a 1" square bar from a hardware store and modified the stand to be wider, about 2 feet. Much better now.
