After owning and using this item for several months, the X-grip that was supposed to be holding the phone fell apart one day as I was adjusting the scope to the position for holding the phone , iPhone, moved 7 in case Under Armour. I contacted RAM Mounts who said I could apply for a lifetime warranty online and that they would replace the defective part free of charge. I have provided detailed photos of the part, the part number and a detailed description of how the item broke. A few days later, a representative from their warranty team emailed me to inform me that the part I had purchased from Revain Prime was counterfeit and that I should contact Revain for a full refund. When I contacted Revain they gave me a typical scenario where they said it was past the 30 day return window and there was nothing they could do. When I said I would contact my credit card company to purchase the item and cancel the payments, the presentation changed and I am now awaiting a response from Revain's refund investigation team. Please save yourself the hassle and spend a few dollars more and purchase this item directly from RAM Mounts. I have used several of their products over the years and have never had any problems. In fact I have had a similar mount on my bike for years and put thousands of miles on it and it has never failed and this product was purchased direct from RAM Mounts.
