These Schlage lever knobs were so easy to install and looked a lot fresher than the 30 year old brass knobs they replaced. I'm not a very experienced 55 year old woman with zero repair skills, but after the first two tries I was able to remove the old doorknob and hasp and install one of them in less than 10 minutes. It's so easy and all the pieces fit together so well. The only trick was flipping the levers so the handle was pointing in the right direction, but when I saw a YouTube installation video showing how to do it, everything went smoothly. Levers are easier to use than knobs and look clean and modern. If you're thinking about replacing your door handles, you can't go wrong with these Schlage levers. I was really surprised how easy they were to install. Even though I had an assistant willing to help, I did most of these myself because it was quite a lot of fun. If you're replacing door handles, don't forget the hinges, either. Each set comes with levers for both sides of the doors, screws and matching striker plate. If you install them and find that the door does not close properly, you may need to adjust the strike plate slightly. There are millions of videos on YouTube on how to fix a door that won't close and the solution is pretty simple.
