Review on 🌑️ Lasko Ceramic Space Heaters 754200 Silver - Adjustable Thermostat for Optimum Comfort by Jasmin Rojas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

One of the best 1500w heaters but most likely refurbished.

I've done a lot of research on this and for a small heater this is one of the best options you can go for. The only small heater that works better is about $100 from Vornado (VH10) and doesn't heat the room much better due to the price difference (you won't get back your initial investment). Surprisingly, this heater is more efficient than the more expensive "tower" Lasko heaters, which oscillate and have digital displays. It heats a small space faster and uses less energy and money. For a larger room, an oil-fired electric radiator is recommended, which heats a larger area more efficiently with the same 1500 watts (DeLonghi had good reviews). In the source I used, a PhD in physics tested a ton of heaters (virtually all available) and updated them to this year. This is one of the first results of a Google search for "best heater". I actually use this heater in a large room as the only source of heat in my living room is a 4500 watt wall mounted heater (it works almost $1 an hour here). aimed straight at my TV. I placed this heater on a raised lamp/table next to my couch and aimed it directly at the people sitting there. Even at low heat settings, it warms people on the couch and warms the whole room quite well. t have actual temperatures). It also has an automatic overheat shutdown, but no rollover protection. It is important to remember that you should not plug anything else into the outlet as you run a high risk of tripping the switch. or make a fire. Both sockets on an outlet combined are often rated at 1800 watts (when connected properly) so there isn't much headroom when this heater is set for a high wattage. Also note that exposure to steam in the bathroom (which tons of people use this heater for and then complain when it breaks) will shorten its lifespan. Anyone complaining here about damaging their power strip can count themselves lucky they didn't unknowingly burn down their house. Most extension cords are not rated for the power of this heater, so Lasko does not recommend using them. One of my biggest concerns is that this heater has definitely been refurbished even though I paid full price for a new one. It came in a brown box, not retail packaging as other reviewers have shared. There are other reviewers who also noted that the heater came in a brown box. There is also cosmetic damage to several parts of the heater. The back of my heater is also different from other reviewers. For me, the black plastic has a completely different shape. Despite being refurbished, the heater uses as much electricity as I expected and works very well for its size (maybe the smallest 1500w heater I've seen, but it produces heat). tons of heat). It's fairly affordable, so I don't think I'll have to return it for a brand new one, but it's definitely not entirely fair to sell it as 'new' when a lot of reviewers are getting refurbished units. than 4 months. I think make sure you get it in the original packaging - the brown boxes don't seem to last very long.
