One star or less. This device worked flawlessly for about 10 months. Then he stopped heating the water to a temperature that was still warm. Since it was still under warranty until November 21st, I called Hamilton Beach. I spoke to a rather grumpy, obnoxious woman who wanted me to take photos with my iPhone (which I don't have) and scan them onto my computer to email. I don't have a scanner. In the end she agreed that I didn't have to do that. Why did she even argue with me? She sent me a new urn (I paid $11 plus change for shipping). We got a new urn. It worked for a good two weeks. Then it will not heat the water again. I am about to buy a new urn from a different manufacturer.
