I have been using it for the restoration of classic cars and antiques for 20 years. Hard plastics, Lexan, Plexiglas, etc. scratch, dull, yellow, weather and sunbathe and become cloudy with age. The plastic looks old, worn, worn and ugly and in many cases the item it covers or is an accessory can still be in good condition. It spoils the overall picture. Novus can fully restore a new appearance. If you want to do it right, you need all three cleaners. Always start with Novus #1, move on to #2, then #3 ONLY if the first doesn't give the desired results. The reason for this is that with each step the content of the connection increases slightly. Even if your plastic is badly scratched enough to require #3 it will still look almost new and all but gouged scratches will be removed and the yellowing will almost disappear, there will only be a very slight reduction in transparency with each increase . product number. and it's SMALL, not conspicuous enough to offset the positive result. but for better, crystal clear clarity, it's much better to look at #1 and work if needed. I find #2 to be the most necessary and practical for most situations. No. 3 is required for severe damage caused by scratches and yellowing. You'll probably be too overwhelmed by the result to notice the very slight loss of clarity. No. 3 for the most severe damage. and if it's really hard enough, you'll need more than one application and a lot of effort. but the result is still so good with #3 that you will trade years of abuse, hard scratches, peeling, yellowing and aging. .for a smooth, crisp result with very little haze. a really unusable, worn, scratched, ugly mess that has been restored to an overall new item look. Old car/truck headlight overlays. to old record player sleeves that were scratched and weathered and yellowed with age or tobacco. and all hard plastic parts in general. I have been restoring for over 40 years. You can try other cleaners and formulations, nothing will deliver the results that Novus achieves. Nothing.
