Slow as molasses, low battery, no interface

In many cases I thought of literally throwing it out the window. But every time I stopped and thought that "fucking GPS is better than no GPS". The more I wrestle with this *thing*, the more I realize it's a stupid idea.1. I waited 20 minutes to find a satellite in Long Island, 10 minutes in Brooklyn, 5 minutes in Minneapolis. It's gotten to the point that when I'm in a new place I rush to take it to the nearest window because I know if I need it in the next half hour or so I'm screwed. 2. The battery life is about 30 minutes, 10 minutes when it's cold outside. So if you don't have a car charger with you, forget it.3. The screen "freezesโ€ at the most inopportune moment. eg - you're close to your destination, friends ask "ok, where is it now?" and you have to stop, restart it (usually a couple of times), wait for it to find satellites again, and then just hope make sure your friends don't throw that thing out the window. downloaded the latest software (a nightmare in itself), firmware, etc. Pooh. Now I'm just looking for a way to ceremonially kill this case without splattering trash everywhere. I'm open to suggestions.
