Review on Glyph Atom RAID SSD Silver (External USB-C by Dean Gomatham

Bought the 2TB version during the Black Friday sale for $429 which is a STEAL if considering the price was $800 for a few pieces. months ago (now $629). First, let me say that this SSD is VERY FAST. I'm using it with a 2016 15" MacBook Pro. On the Black Magic Disk speed test, I get 833 MB/s writing and 880 MB/s reading. A 45GB Final Cut Pro library file from my MBP's internal SSD on it and it took 52 seconds. Calculating in reverse order.... 45GB / 52 seconds is 0.865 (GB/s) which makes sense since it's 865 (MB/s) which is even faster than the write speed of 833 ( MB/s) that I got in the Black Magic Disk speed test.
