Which to buy? on serum bottles

The benefits of these fenders are obvious, but I had a hard time deciding which one to buy. My fiancee has a Guyot Designs model with a drinking hole and vent on the opposite side and that's how I discovered the usefulness of these things. I was also interested in this version from Nalgene, which was cheaper at the time of purchase. I have a 32 ounce quart size bottle of Nalgene at home and one at work so I figured I'd take both and see which one I like better. I see these suction cups serve two main functions: (1) making sure I don't spill anything on the seesaw or into a moving car, and (2) not falling into the bottle. You can drink from it - sometimes I manage to block the top of the hole meant to vent and make an odd slurping sound. I prefer the option with separate ventilation. This "sipper" is a hard plastic that cannot easily get into the bottle. It has never been accidentally dropped. It falls to its surface after a few fairly hard hits and is easy enough to extract (once the bottle is empty). The Guyot Designs "mudguard" I bought is made out of a softer rubber plastic. A separate vent is much better, but it gets into the bottle much easier. It does not withstand even a strong hit on the surface. Also, it's very easy to get it after falling down. My fiancΓ©'s Guyot Designs fender is made of hard plastic, similar to this Nalgene option, but also has separate venting, which I prefer. It's the best of both worlds in my opinion, but I'm not sure how you're going to find this particular product. Much luck!
