These inserts I bought fit perfectly in 32 ounce Nalene bottles. You don't fall off the top. They can be easily removed and cleaned individually. However, they do not have a retaining lip and can be pushed too far into the bottle. Therefore, a star was deducted for this error. But they float, so if you push too hard you can easily pull them out with your (clean) fingers. When I push them in they just have to seal with the top and I stop pushing.
