Unfortunately I trusted the claims that this part is exactly the same as the OEM part. IT IS NOT. The texture is NOT the same or different just because it's new. It is also MUCH thicker than the original part as shown in my photo. Not to mention potential door alignment issues, the part itself is about twice the thickness of the stock part on my '17 Dodge Grand Caravan. You can also see a decent rough spot (maybe 1.5cm) on the edge (burr?) from the manufacturing process, which I could probably improve with some fine sanding. I would only recommend this part if you are not particularly interested in such things or if you are perhaps replacing the entire rack trim on one side. Installation wasn't too difficult, but required pushing down on the part while pulling STRONGLY to get the 2 tabs to slide in. far enough for the screw post to line up with the hole in the door. Once in place, I tore off the tape along the top and front. The backing tape came off very easily and smoothly, but it seemed to do more than just peel off the blue backing sheet - the black material was still stuck to large sections of the backing tape that actually looked like double-sided tape. Removal of decorative details. I'm assuming the double sided tape wasn't properly applied to the fairing - if you REALLY buy this part you should first try to press the tape well against the part to make sure it sticks as well as possible. Completion before installation. This is why I only gave 3 stars for the clutch, but it's hard to say as the part was just installed at the time of writing this article.
