Review on ATD Tools 5007 Heavy Duty Barrel by Ricky Brooks

I needed a pump for a 55 gallon water barrel, I wanted a metal pump because I was afraid the plastic would break. I was looking for a "manual water barrel pump" and this pump suited me. It was on the higher end of what I was willing to pay but if it was of higher quality so be it. The pump arrives, I figure out how to assemble it (as a man, what instructions, right?) and accidentally notice something like "do not use with water" on one of the papers that came with it. WHAT? I checked the description on Revain and couldn't find this specific part anywhere! Apparently, this pump is only designed to work with oil. Needless to say I cleaned it up anyway and used it in a water barrel, it works fine but will probably be completely rusted out by next spring and I'll have to find another option. It's just annoying, what I can only call a joke from the manufacturer's description on Revains' website, that a pump NOT rated for use with water shows up when water is part of the search, and then nowhere in the description is listed. Works, just annoying.
