The power connectors on each motor are not installed, they are dangling wrenches making them more prone to warping and failure. The real problem with both plugs is that when you plug in the power cord from the car, the metal is pushed away from the plug so they don't touch. I noticed this after installing the device. I had to do a lot of tinkering to keep the metal connectors from moving. After successfully making the connections, I noticed a lot of vibration when the fans are running at high speed. The actual fan rotor has about a 3/8 inch gap between the shrouds on each side, while my original unit has a gap of about 1/16 inch. I would expect this extra clearance to allow for some play and disrupt the vacuum that needs to be created in the plenum The fans are generally quieter It looks like the different brands of this unit are actually the same design so I don't think so that there is hope of finding a better aftermarket replacement solution I would happily pay someone $150 or $200 just to rebuild my factory assembly with quality bearings or bushings.
