Realtek RTL8812BU USB3 Wireless Adapter works great and is very easy to install. That means I just plugged in the antenna that comes with the USB3 WiFi dongle and connected it to my 7 year old Dell XPS 8700 desktop PC. My Windows 10 system recognized the adapter and boom, it was ready to use. It comes with a small driver disk; However, I didn't have to use it. Windows automatically found and installed the drivers. In Device Manager, I disabled the existing built-in Wi-Fi adapter, which only works on a 2.4 GHz band. The Realtek adapter detected my available networks and I connected to 5GHz. Complete the "Google Internet Speed Test” and download speeds are now more than 5x faster. Download speed is about ten times faster. {Download speed around 300Mbps and upload speed just under 200Mbps} Another nice feature is that the dongle with attached antenna can be plugged into a vertical or horizontal USB port and takes up very little space. Extremely easy and very inexpensive upgrade! Highly recommended!
