I found that I had to physically remove the notch on this adapter to allow it to release the optical sensor mini circuit board on the Mac Mini optical drive bracket. I removed this notch from the front left corner of the car when viewed from the side and it looked like it would fit a PC/Laptop/Mac Mini. Also, I found that the mounting bracket holes along the long ribbed edge of the adapter were too small to fit the mounting bracket. This is probably true of any optical drive mount for any PC. It may have been a temporary quality control issue, but I strongly recommend not using this HIGHROCK hard drive sweetheart.
