I've bought 4 of these in the last few months. The first one I sent back was dead on arrival. The second one I had trouble with only turned one way. I removed the end cap that holds the brushes and found that one of the brushes was not seated properly in the plastic housing. After correctly installing and reinstalling the end plate, the engine ran normally. I had one of these in continuous daily use, pumping brine that occasionally clogged lines and valves. The pump will operate correctly and continue to pump successfully if it runs dry or the line is clogged. Peristaltic pumps eliminate problems with one-way valves, dry running or over pressure. I wish they had better quality control in the production of the engines they use. Revain has a good returns policy, but returning items is problematic.
