Not love at first sound.

**DISCLAIMER** I'm an audiophile cheapskate so I don't usually think about buying headphones under $20, but I really needed some nice headphones that were compatible with the iPhone Remote/ Microphone for iPhone. Gym, and I saw them for sale, read a lot of reviews, said to hell with them, and threw the dice. Initially, when I launched them, all my fears were confirmed. horrible sound, very high pitched and tinny, absolutely no bass. I felt like I made a mistake by believing other reviews and allowing myself to think that $20 headphones might sound decent, but I was wrong! My first mistake was replacing the medium sized hats with larger ones because I'm cute. a large guy so I assumed large caps would work best, but that wasn't the case and it prevented them from fitting properly in my ear as intended. I was about to throw them away and throw them in the trash when I accidentally stuck one of the earbuds deeper into my ear canal and BAM. no matter! My second mistake was that I didn't take into account that they were in a UPS truck all day in 30 degree weather and probably had a bit of a cold. So after going back to the medium caps, inserting them a little further into the ear canal than when I first started, and letting them warm up a bit, I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded. Klipsch S2 which I replaced but never expected these cheap ones to sound comparable to what they originally had but they are actually pretty good. They have a decent, warm sound and reproduce low frequencies really well, without any distortion, and have a crisp, clear sound at high frequencies. I doubt you can find other iPhone Control compatible headphones with comparable sound quality for $20, and I'm happy to say I'd recommend them to anyone looking for decent headphones without paying real money to spend Just make sure you take full advantage of them. Your ear canal so they can properly seal and reproduce the area they are supposed to.
