I've never made pasta before but I wanted to try. I saw them for a great price so I went for it. I've heard they are difficult to make as they can be temperamental (which they are). In anticipation of their arrival, I studied tips and tricks on how to do them properly. I've tried mats in two different ways. The first time I used them under parchment paper just to make them the same size since I'm new to this stuff. I was surprised how well they turned out after following the instructions on T. I've attached a photo of my first attempt. The second attempt was not so successful. I did the same, but this time I left out the parchment paper. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but they stuck to the mats. I wonder if you might actually need to bake them longer if you're actually using baking mats. In conclusion, I would say that they are great for creating uniform shapes, but not for baking. I would say they are excellent quality and easy to clean. So for me they were a win. It was fun trying something new and challenging.
