I was immediately disappointed when I opened the box and noticed the fit and finish of the dual head ball joint. Obviously this is a poorly cast solid block of metal that is then ground to finish. Unfortunately, the casting is too small in some places, which makes it difficult to finish when converting to ball heads. This is especially noticeable with the 2 5/16 inch bullet where the bullet shank has an odd and uneven finish. Very disappointing with a hundred plus dollar hitch. Aside from my complaints about the fit and finish, Kurt offers a single rubber stopper to reduce rattling between the balls and the height-adjustable body. Unfortunately, since they only have a rubber stopper, this can create a pivot point and increase rather than decrease the rattle. You should provide enough rubber plugs to fill at least 2 of the 3 holes to eliminate the possibility of creating a pivot. Despite this, the items are very heavy and look impressive. I really like that the hitch body is made of steel and a solid block not hollow like many cheaper clutches. The welded brace is also essential, it will clearly pull every part of the 14,000lb rated load. I already had a few remarks about how heavy and convenient it must be to have such a modular hitch. I like h Now it's easy to "get" the right height depending on the weight of the trailer tongue or the height of the trailer. I like the hitch although I'm disappointed with the fit/finish and anti-rattle features.
