Don't update your firmware, it's a trap.
I fell for the trap of updating my printer firmware which bricks your printer if you have aftermarket ink. Ink that worked just fine at a fraction of the cost. I'd throw this printer against the wall and get a non epson laser printer if I used it enough. Live and learn.
