Benefits: -Good for loaves of bread baked in my bakehouse -With the right knife I get equal thickness slices in 3 widths as advertised -Nice enough for me to take my fresh bread to the machine table and slice it there , while my family and friends mock me for having a different device. My OCD, despite its neglect, is comforted by good consistent pieces. Also, I like my toys. Easy to wash. The crumb trap takes up most of the clutter. Cons: - The slits don't reach the surface the bread is lying on, so you have to take the bread out and cut the last half inch on a separate surface. Really annoying - Too narrow for my hand, oven baked (like wicker challahs).
