Although the kit includes a high density foam insert that can be used as a diamond hole saw guide to keep the tool in place and keep water out hold to cool the diamond hole saw while drilling, I didn't know that a detail for later, instead I used a 3/16" thick plank of wood cut with a wood hole saw that was the same size as the diamond hole saw I used used. After cutting 6 1-1/2" diameter holes, the diamond was obviously worn away - approximately 75% of the surface of the diamond REMAINS (perfect holes will still be made). Diamond- Hole saw and mandrel bought elsewhere for $45 will be returned (just because the holes are the same size) Definitely recommend unless you're an au Contractor planning to cut endless holes.
