Quality hardware, lots of I/O options
I wanted to connect a new TV to my old receiver to get sound through the large Polk Audio speakers. I was planning to use HDMI (ARC) from the TV to the device but couldn't get any sound. I checked everything! I was about to order a new HDMI cable but I went with the optical cable (which comes with the unit) and it worked! It's nice that there are multiple options for inputs and outputs on this device. I used the headphone output on my previous setup and have learned to live with the "hum". When using this unit and the optical output of the TV, there is no noise,
