My son and I had 3 separate projects so we tried to organize them to do all of this work at once. Boards on the restoration of a vintage dune buggy, restoration of a vintage motorbike and some portable shelving. I've never used a rivet nut tool, but my son said we should get one. The learning curve was almost instantaneous. We had about 60 blind holes in panel-to-panel and panel-to-frame; connectors for parts of the bike where we didn't want to use nuts; and each connection on the rack required detachable connectors. Akktol is best for blind holes as it avoids various labor intensive alternatives. Using racks permanently saves you from tossed and lost nuts, as well as having to use 2 wrenches to loosen each one. The bike didn't need rivet nuts, it was just a new way of making different connections, and again, multiple wrenches aren't required. Akktol has saved us many hours of work and we have been able to focus on other aspects of the projects. The savings in blind hole time alone was worth the tool price. I've done countless things over the years, for lack of a better word, and I don't know how I've gone without tools for so long. Looking back I lost many hours without having this. Now I know what to give my brother for the turn of the year.
