Super bright and eye-catching shoes for kids

Reminiscent of the legend of the Roman god Mercury, these shoes are a real eye catcher. And I mean that literally, because not only do they have a purple metallic chrome finish, but they also have flashing LEDs in the soles. The soles of these high heels are made of EVA. It's a lightweight material, making this shoe quite lightweight overall. The upper is made of shiny metalized plastic, which is sewn inside with soft fabric. I don't know how well the top will stand up to scuffs and regular street wear as I can't expect the high gloss chrome to hold up over time. My daughter has only worn them a few times so we haven't seen any wear on them yet, so no verdict has been made yet. There are also wings on the top of the shoe. They are actually held in place with velcro and are removable, although it's pretty obvious that they've been removed as there's velcro underneath. The wings have eyelet holes so they can be laced into shoes if desired. The included white laces are stretchy and frankly too short to fully lace or even use when laced out of the box. Not sure why they are so short but they may need to be replaced. The main attraction here are the LEDs in the outsole. There are six LEDs on the outside of each shoe. Power is supplied by a battery located under the insole (inaccessible to the user) and the battery is charged via a micro USB port that protrudes on the inside edge of the shoe's upper. He seems to be hiding behind a wing. The USB port also includes a power switch to turn the LED indicators on and off. The port's position seems comfortable enough to prevent chafing, although you can pretty much feel most of it through the inside of the shoe. When switched on, the shoes flash in a specific pattern. The LEDs are mounted in recessed cavities on the side of the sole of the shoe and point downwards so the light reflects off the bottom of the cavities. This works pretty well, although when you see real LEDs, they're bright enough to leave stains on your eyes. They'll look pretty cool at a dance party, but they'll be a distraction anywhere. It would be nice if they weren't so bright, or if there was a diffuser or something like that above them. Another thing to note is that they come with a USB charging cable. This is a Y-cable that connects to both shoes at the same time. However, you must provide your own wall adapter. Conclusion: My daughter found these shoes generally comfortable. Lights are a nice trick, but that means they're more suited to fashionable shoes than everyday wear. And of course, the upper might not stand up to rough usage, so keep that in mind too. All in all good fashionable shoes for children. The upper might not stand up to rough usage, so keep that in mind too. All in all good fashionable shoes for children.
