As a contractor and homeowner with over 50 years of experience I have replaced many handles and latch sets. This device was my worst experience. It seemed like a good idea to have a handle that could be installed without finding a place to fit the long screws. The theory was to have a U-shaped hole that could just be screwed onto the screws going most of the way. It fell a few times on initial installation before I could tighten the screws enough to hold it up. It fell two days ago, blocking my way out of the garage. Many, many attempts to reinstall it have left me very frustrated and filled the house with an excess of swear words. I ordered a new Revain Basics grip and installed it in no time, just increasing the latch hole to 1 inch. The new bar looks great and costs ten dollars less.
