I have replaced all the doorknobs in our house with this. They are stronger than the grips they replaced. Also, if I want to, I can easily change the keys with the smart key without having to change the whole node again. I am very satisfied with them and recommend them to others.

Attention! The slots in the old Kwikset Castle and this new Kwikset Castle are noticeably different. The slot for this new lock is slightly thinner than the slot on the original Kwikset lock. Installed in less than 10 minutes including removing the old Kwikset and changing the lock to make it work with the current family member key. Incidentally, this key change works perfectly on the first try. It helped that both locks had 6WAL deadbolts so I didn't have to fiddle with that part. I really like the "one key" system. We bought a country cottage with six lockable doors (three of them shed closets) and I locked them all easily with keys that matched our other house. What I like about Kwikset locks: I prefer Kwikset handles to others because they fully unlock when you open them with the key. If you take the key in and then walk out the door again, the door will NOT close behind you. That's a very good thing!
