Who Invented the SmartKey Deserves the Nobel Peace Prize

SmartKey lets you replace a new door lock with an existing key, and it's SO EASY! I didn't read the instructions but watched the Kwikset YouTube video. Tip again, gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen: Watch a very short video without distraction at least once before you simply turn on the video after installing the door lock with already tense nerves. That's why. Replacing my existing front door lock/fitting this new Kwikset Juno Wntry Lock was beyond frustrating. Replacing door locks always annoys me at best, because turning those screws just behind the round doorknob is some serious PITA (pain in.). Forget about that with a standard Phillips head if you're not okay with a raised doorknob. (I mean, in hindsight it might have helped to use masking tape or two coats of masking tape on the handle, but that thought just popped into my head as I was typing this). So all you need is a manual Phillips screwdriver. And holding those screws in place without falling out and hitting those holes on the inside of the outside, that's AAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH. Of course, in case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a nervous and impatient girl - hahaha. Replacing the keys was the easiest part of the installation process for this new door lock I would say. Is it worth hiring a locksmith or handyman - er, even just a little bit. In any case. This door lock is great! Low cost, relatively easy installation, and GREAT do-it-yourself key replacement.
