It seems to work when I put it on a gas stove, but I couldn't use it for long. I sometimes have problems with power flickering several times a day. There isn't enough power to reset the clock radio, microwave, oven, etc., sometimes the lights don't even blink, it's just a sudden voltage drop that goes back to normal. This will reset the detector and when it resets the alarm will beep twice which drives the dogs crazy which wakes us up at night. The LED lights are also very bright, much brighter than my carbon monoxide detectors, almost painful on the eyes to look at after dark.
