I'm sooo glad I finally have a gas analyzer! I have two boys aged 2 and 4 and with a gas stove I am concerned they might turn the knobs! Now we have a gas boiler for the winter and I had fun and bought a great defector! It's incredibly easy to install and I tested it by holding the button and lighter in front of it as instructed and I scared everyone in the house so bad the house cracked! It's noisy! I highly recommend!

I'll start with the merits of the product. 1. The product is very easy to use, even a 2-year-old child can easily assemble it. 2. Product works great as described. 3. The alarm clock is very loud, even if you are fast asleep, this loud beeping will wake you up. 4. It gives you a digital reading that tells you how much gas is in the air. 5. The packaging of the product was simple and easy to open and use without much effort. I haven't found any cons, and I rarely find cons.

I put this in the kitchen because my elderly mother lives with me and she keeps leaning against the stove and turning the knobs, causing a gas leak. I ordered it and felt safe. Well tonight she was in the kitchen and I went to dinner for 25 minutes while my husband who is in bed after knee surgery was at home. When I come back, the whole house smells of gas. It seems to work when I put it on a gas stove, but I couldn't use it for long. I sometimes have problems with power flickering several times a day. There isn't enough power to reset the clock radio, microwave, oven, etc., sometimes the lights don't even blink, it's just a sudden voltage drop that goes back to normal. This will reset the detector and when it resets the alarm will beep twice which drives the dogs crazy which wakes us up at night. The LED lights are also very bright, much brighter

I connected this device hoping it would alert us in case of a leak. The light is on, everything seems fine. However, I had to replace the igniter in the oven and when I checked the newly installed igniter the gas escaped, we smelled it but this wretched detector didn't. I thought it might be too far from the oven. Got an extension cord, put it in the oven, tried again, smelled gas again but the detector didn't work.
