Double your 2x6
If you don't double your 2x6 you will find that these mounts rock too much even with support every 16 inches on the center. They also didn't come with documentation to tell you what screws to use to attach everything. I used SIX 3.5" bolts with washers for the top where it connects to the 2x6 and then SIX 3" lag bolts to connect the 4x4. So to make 4 of these and double your 2x6, you will need 24 3.5" bolts/carriage bolts, 24 nuts, 72 washers and 24 3" screws.
