I have had XM or Sirius XM in all my cars since 2004. It was factory installed on all trucks except my current one (2019 GMC Sierra). Now it's optional, which I didn't know until I bought it. I understand why a lot of people like to stream music from their phones, but I find it a big problem. You need to connect your phone to the car radio and then use radio apps (Android Auto or Apple Car Play). Worst of all, you have to fiddle with your phone to change songs. Luckily VAIS took care of any issues I had with this GM radio. I installed the VAIS adapter with no problems and now I can control the satellite radio from my steering wheel.
