We used this to create a water barrier just behind the shower door and it works great! Unfortunately, whoever installed our shower left a grout line and jagged mark between the marble slabs in the door, so I had to caulk the threshold rather than tape it. It worked great. I cut it off with a fine-toothed hacksaw, then applied a bead of clear silicone sealant to the bottom and taped it in place. Once I squeezed a piece of excess sealant and all the bubbles were squeezed out on the sides. I rubbed my finger over the edges and the result was an almost perfectly clean sill. Now all the water stays in the shower!
