Better than my Speedglas

I have worn Speedglas for many years. My 9100x finally stopped working. I wanted to try something new and after reading the reviews I decided on this hood. Also, the company I work for supplies a standard large interchangeable lens cap. I love the huge field of view, but what really sets me apart is the clarity of the puddle and the ability to see the surrounding landscape. Much better than the green glow I'm used to. Sensitivity and delay work great. So I may have a long lag when the carbon arc gives the carbon light a dim glow for a second before it goes out, or a short lag when trying to quickly initiate a weld. This is the best puller I've ever had. the durability of the harness because I changed it to a helmet adapter. But it feels comfortable, very customizable in the short time I've used it. The only downside I found was that when I switched to the helmet adapter, it didn't fit my helmet very well. I have a brown MSA fiberglass helmet, which is pretty standard. The hat is too high to fully open the hood. When lifted, it becomes tight at the top. I attached it to a regular plastic helmet and it lifts up nicely. The first photo shows how high the hood can rise. The latter is a standard hard hat made of plastic and can be lifted all the way up.
