This kit has everything you need to start a poorly designed 4.3 liter Vortec engine. If you are thinking about buying one, you already know the disadvantages of the motor, so I won't go into detail about them. This kit is the same as the Delco kit except you do NOT get instructions! You will need a GM Technical Service Bulletin for installation. This will eliminate your timing chain slack as all "4.3 balancer shafts" have the camshaft bore and BS holes too deep in the block. Even a brand new chain will suck in BS 4.3! This will NOT eliminate the noise of the balancer shaft! Just replacing the rear BS bearing (brass bushing) and gear will reduce the noise of the BS. Another option is to shut off the oil supply to the BS and completely remove the BS.
