Lite Harness - Best fit for medium-small but deep chested dog

I wanted to get a harness with some level of padding for the chest, a handle to help with hiking, and a no-pull leash connection. Because of my dog's dimensions (12" neck + 22" chest), it's been difficult to find a harness with those features that fit well. This ThinkPet harness proved to be the most adjustable in both neck and chest areas, and ultimately fit my dog the best. I also liked how the lite version doesn't have so much padding on the back, so it's not as restrictive or heat insulating. Love this shade of red, and the reflective fabric/threads. Reasons I'm providing 4 stars instead of 5:- Plastic buckles don't feel the most heavy duty. They're the kind that have sliders to "lock" in the buckles, but they don't seem to work super well. I don't really use/need that feature, but would hope the buckles can last in the long term.- Back leash ring only fits a single clasp. Not a deal breaker, but I'm not able to clip her car restraint and leave her leash on at the same time. Some other harnesses I tried before finding this:- Ruffwear Webmaster, size XS: chest was too small, and there was a lot of material for padding, that I think would have been restrictive and led to overheating. I did like that it had another loop around the belly, which would be good for escape artists, but I found it's not necessary for my dog.- Barkbay no-pull harness, size: S: Chest fit OK, but the neck could not go small enough. Fit was awkward and harness padding would bunch up in the chest area.

Pros
  • Harness strap constantly flips over not the great but doing the job.
Cons
  • May not fit all dog breeds
