Review on ๐Ÿšค CZC AUTO 12V Submersible LED Trailer Tail Light Kit: Waterproof and Perfect for Under 80 Inch Trailer Boat Utility Trailer (Trailer Light Kit) by Joseph Neal

Poor instructions + everything needs to be grounded.

My son and I were replacing the headlights on an old trailer he recently bought. This light kit is very inexpensive and comes with very few instructions. If it weren't for the other reviewers, I'd still be doing the old trial and error dance. First you need to ground everything! Without exceptions. From the hitch connector to the trailer harness and each light, you need to ground everything: the gray wire at the side markers, the white wire at the tail lights, the white wire at the trailer harness at the tongue. Also, make sure the ground pin is not missing from your vehicle's hitch plug like we did. I would like, why not just put a different wire in the ground harness for each headlight? In addition, the side marker lights may differ in the color of the cables from the instructions. To connect the side turn signals, touch the common colored wire on each side of the trailer harness - in our case it was the brown wire - connect it to the yellow turn signal wire. We also had a QC bug where the white ground wire came loose from one of the tail light bulbs. We had to dig out the rubber grommet to get to the connection, solder the wire and then reseal the wiring with JB Weld's epoxy. It's worth being quick to hand, or at least trying. Now everything works fine - the project is complete. I'll try to post decent updates as they become available. Good luck everyone!
